Earth Hour
Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The event is held annually,encouraging individuals, communities.and businesses to switch off non-essential electric lights for one hour from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., usually on the last Saturday of March, as a symbol of commitment to the planet.
In connection with the Earth Hour programme,we (Rotary E-Club of Chennai Shakthi)also participated in the programme and switched off the lights for one hour on 25th March,2023 and also took the Earth Hour Pledge conducted by WWF.We feel proud that more than 10 members unanimously participated in the enviro friendly activity as a symbol of unity. It is also the power of collective action for our future and the planet.
