Village Games and Hygiene Mela
Rotary Club of Madras North, as a part of its WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) initiative under Community Service Development, has collaborated with Chennai- based SIFEL, a "for purpose" organisation that works in rural India and central jails, in order to spread awareness regarding handwash hygiene, through various games, sports and entertainment programmes.
In November, melas were held at the following villages:

Shahjadpura, Roora Jati, Malakpura, Kharra, Roora, Sohrapur, Lohargaon, Gayar, Tiha, Madhya Pradesh-Sunderpur, Chattisgarh-Bhulsidih, Tamil Nadu-Weekly hygiene melas at:
1. Puzhal Jail (Central Prisons 1 and 2, Special Prison for Women, Vellore Jail (Central Prison)
