POLIO IMMUNISATION DRIVE

Every year, March 3rd is observed as National Immunization Day. Rotary has played a significant role in eradicating polio. A vaccination drive was conducted across Chennai at various locations to commemorate this. As a part of this drive, the Rotary Club of Chennai Bharathi was privileged to administer the polio drops campaign at UPHC SASHTRI NAGAR, ADAYAR ZONE 13, ADAMBAKKAM. Our club was allocated nine booths in this zone. We are happy to share that *4247 children received the polio drops today in this zone*. Fifty volunteers *( which included 11UPHC STAFF, 8Icds teachers, 20 students from Nehru High School, and ten students from Cl Baid Metha College of Pharmacy)* were involved in administering the vaccination drive across all the nine booths. It was a soul-satisfying experience to administer the two drops to little angels and princes. To honor their efforts, our club provided the volunteers with lunch, snacks, tea/coffee, and water bottles for the volunteers.
