Pongal Vizha at Senneri Village Near Chengalpet
Senneri Village is a small hamlet located in the main road en route to Chengalpattu - Thirupporur Main Road, wherein around fifty veduvar families live in hutments. There are no basic facilities like electricity, water, street lights etc On 13th January 2024 Rotarians, Rotaractors and Annettes celebrated Pongal Vizha with the people of Senneri Village Chengalpattu.Pongal was prepared with traditional flair by the villagers and members. Various competitions like Kolam and Uriyadi were conducted. There was “attam, pattam, kondattam” by Rotaractors, Annettes, members of the club; the locals also joined enthusiastically. The winners of the competition were given prizes.
