Footwear distribution
RCCT along with Farida Shoes donated 350 pairs of slippers to students of classes 6 to 12. Almost 50% of the children of this school come barefoot as they cannot afford to buy footwear. ‘Farida Shoes’ came forward to sponsor customized footwear for these children. The business head of Farida shoes, joined in for this project along with Rtn Rukmani, who coordinated the distribution. Also present for this project were Secretary RtnJayashree, community service director, RtnVenkatesh, RtnsAarthi Varanasi, Satish Kandimala and prospect Mr. Praveen. The project was well received and it was gratifying to see the look of happiness on the children’s faces as they received the much needed foot wear.
