World wetlands day celebration
World wetlands day was celebrated on 2nd February 2024� by rotary club of Chennai Velachery in front of perungudi MRTS to create awareness to the public.
Around 75 students from government higher school from Velachery participated in this event along with Many green volunteers and members from the rotary club and Apex club participated.
Chief guest of the event was Dr.Sakthivel Beemaraja a notable Hydrologist , he explained about severity to protect wetlands and awareness about the pollution free environment to� the school students and public

*Students were holding placard and Slogans were said to save wetlands*
Save the wetlands as the future of the Earth depends on them. The wetlands are responsible for a very diverse ecosystem and the ecosystem will be spoiled if the wetlands cease to exist. The wetlands are a beautiful part of our ecosystem and we should take care of the wetlands.
