Akshayam Feeding the poor
Akshayam project was done near Adyar area by Ann Biju and Anuradha. They distributed food packets, consisting of hot idly, sambar and bottles of water to 51 hungry people. They not only fed street dwellers but also had civic helpers, vegetable vendors and even some shop employees, for whom this seemed to be a God sent (or so they said). As always, the fulfilment one gets after doing such a simple yet heartening service, is worth the effort and the blessing received is always a bonus.
