Walkathon - Create awareness for Diabetic Retinopathy
Project RADAR (Radhatri Nethralaya Diabetic Retinopathy project with Rotary) held on 17TH December at Besant Nagar Beach was a grand success with 250 attendees comprising of Rotarians, college students, doctors and even female auto drivers. The walkathon was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Minister of health Ma Subramanian. The chief guest was PDG Natarajan Nagoji and Guest of Honour was Actor Rekha Nair. The walkers shouted slogans, distributed pamphlets, carried placards and banners, to create awareness on Diabetic Retinopathy, the blinding disease affecting diabetic patients.
