Rural Medical Camps
Under the guidance of PP Dr. Arulmozhi Varman and in collaboration with Uma Eye Clinic, a significant Mega Eye Camp took place in Aayalur Village, Thiruvallur. This joint effort involved the participation of five Rotary Clubs: Rotary Club of Madras Mylapore Uptown, Rotary Club of Thiruvanmiyur, Rotary Club of Anna Nagar Adithya, Rotary Club of Chennai Coastal, and Rotary Club of Chennai Neithal.
During the camp, the team successfully screened 106 new patients, with 20 individuals receiving free eyeglasses. Moreover, 22 patients were diagnosed with cataract, and they will undergo cost-free surgeries at Uma Eye Clinic in the upcoming week. This initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of the Rotary Clubs and Uma Eye Clinic to improving eye health and providing much-needed support to the community.
