DIWALI CELEBRATIONS AT THE ORPHANAGE/OLD AGE HOME
We at the Rotary Club of Chennai decided to make Diwali a special occasion for the inmates of Anna Illam- an orphanage and a old age home. The organisation is home to 70 orphan children and 42 old destitude people. We distributed clothes, a special meal for the evening, stationery for the children and chocolates and sweets. the evening also had a full song an dance performance by our Interact Club from Akshar Arbol School. it was so gratifying to see all the children dancing together and celebrating the festival. this got smiles to each and every inmate present.
