Pasumaiyudan Seeratuvom - Mega Tree Plantation Drive
Rotary Club of Chennai Bharathi and 21 participating clubs of district 3232, together in association with SEERAKKU, organized ?PASUMAIYUDAN SEERATTUVOM?, a mega tree plantation at the farmers land in Thanipoondi village, near Gummidipoondi on November 25, 2023.
This collective effort was beautiful and executed today at the farm. It was a blissful experience to be there on the farmers land on a rainy day. We had the wonderful experience of planting teak, mahogany, and sandalwood trees on farmers lands.� The team planted a total of 1000 trees, which cost Rs. 50,000/-� on the whole at the rate of Rs. 50/ tree.

The plantation happened in the presence of the farmers, Mr. Dinesh from Seerakku, President Rtn. Dr. Jayashree Kadambi (RC Chennai Bharathi) and President Rtn. Shivani ( RC Chennai Seaview). The presence of other clubs was dearly missed. We wholeheartedly thank each one for being the backbone in executing this go-green event.� This was followed by a wonderful village-style breakfast. A moment to be experienced in ones life.
