CPR TRAINING SERIES 13 - Sir and Lady Venkatasubbha Rao School

*CPR/ BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRAINING, ALONG WITH FIRE SAFETY* Annettes Club of Rotary Chennai Bharathi, in collaboration with Apollo hospitals, executed its 13th series of *TIME TO SAVE LIVES*, CPR / Basic life support training at *SIR & LADY M. VENKATASUBBARAO MATRIC HIGHER SEC SCHOOOL, WEST TAMBARAM on November 10, 2023*. Mr. Anwer, a paramedic from Apollo, conducted an interactive session by explaining the difference between cardiac arrest and heart attack. He explained and gave a demo on how to do CPR and the main first aid techniques to treat injuries, seizures, choking, etc. As it?s time for Diwali, he explained and demonstrated the techniques in case of fire and highlighted the importance of carefully bursting the crackers. Eighty-five students from classes 8 and 9 and 5 teachers enthusiastically participated in this interactive session. They also had an opportunity to have hands-on training. Today, 85 people have become *certified life savers*. This happened in the presence of RC Chennai Bharathi president, Rtn. Dr. Jayashree Kadambi, Annette Aditya Srinivas, principal Mrs. Nithya, Vice Principal Mrs. Jayanthi, and the teachers. *We are happy to share that we have trained over 1800 young adults.* We thank the entire Apollo Hospitals and Chennai team for their consistent support. We sincerely thank the schools principal and management for allowing us to host this session. Our sincere gratitude to Rtn. Mangala Jayachandran, Chairman RYLA RC Chennai Bharathi, for being instrumental in identifying the school and making this event successful.
