Ortho Camp at Kanathur for 450 Fishermen on 12 Oct 2023
To mark the World Arthritis Day on 12th October 2023, Rotary Club of Madras Industrial City conducted an Ortho Camp at the Rotary Community Centre in Kanathur, ECR, Chennai. It was conducted in association with AMET University, Karpaga Vinayaga Medical College, Freedom Trust and TOSH Hospital. Dr. Jaheer Hussein, helped put this Ortho Camp together along with his friends in the medical fraternity. The Ortho Camp was inaugurated by the District Governor Rtn. Ravi Raman. The total cost of the Project was about Rs.3,00,000/-, of which about Rs.2,00,000/- worth of free medicines, wheel chairs, walkers, elbow support walking sticks, etc. were given to the patients. The total beneficiaries of the Camp were 450 patients from 5 fishermen villages of Kanathur. During the valedictory function, the Club honoured 62 personnel who were involved in conducting the camp.
