DYSLEXIA AND LEARNING DISABILITIES - International Conference
Rotary club Of Chennai Bharathi along with Rotary club of La Valet, Malta , jointly executed their maiden *International conference of learning disabilities and dyslexia.* 5 eminent panelists from the two countries were present in this meeting.
After the collaring of the two presidents , Rtn. Dr. Jayashree from RC Chennai Bharathi and Rtn Anne Marry RC La Valet , the session began with the first speaker PHF. Rtn Dr. Edward who shared his life story as a person with dyslexia.
Second speaker Carmen Muscat from University of Malta highlighted the importance of the right environment for children with dyslexia.
Dr. Vimal Doshi , professor at the INSTITUE OF MENTAL HEALTH gave tips on identifying dyslexia at an early stage .
Prof. Ruth enlightened the importance of executive functional skills.
Rtn. Mangala Jayachandran shared her experiences about the inclusive school system in Tamilnadu.
It was well received by the audience through an interactive session.
