CERVICAL CANCER AWARENESS - VIRTUAL SPEAKER MEET
Annettes Club and Rotary Club of Chennai Bharathi in Association with Apollo Hospitals conducted a virtual speaker meet to raise Cervical Cancer Awareness.
Rtn Dr. Jayashree (Club President) welcomed the gathering. The session was moderated by Rtn Shruthi Shambavi (Director- Community Health)
Dr. B Yesmin Nureja, Dept of Radiation Oncology, Apollo Hospital - was the speaker for the program.
She delivered a comprehensive explaination on Cervical Cancer, risk factors, signs and symptoms and medical therapy required to treat the same. The doctor also highlighted on the importance of taking vaccination as a means to reduce risk of the cancer.
The session was greatly informative and is the need of the hour.
