INTERNATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY - A SHOWER OF BLISSFULNESS
October 11th is celebrated as *International Girl Child Day every year. But this school celebrates girls every day. On October 11, 2023, the Rotary Club of Chennai Bharathi had an excellent opportunity to witness this beauty at *RKM SARADHA VIDYALAY MATRIC HR. SEC SCHOOL, T.NAGAR*.
To celebrate this day, our club engaged the girls from grades ten, eleven, and twelve in critical skills essential to overcoming daily challenges.
October is also the month of exams in many schools. This is the time when stress takes the lead not only in children but also the parents and teachers. To help them overcome this stress and fear, Rtn. Dr. Jayashree, the president of the Rotary Club of Chennai Bharathi, and a special educator, engaged the girls in an *interactive workshop on ?EMOTIONAL WELL BEING*.? This session created a platform for everyone to participate in the session actively. The session included depicting imaginary emotional characters that led them to let out their inspirational thoughts through a skit, drawing, etc. The students enthusiastically participated and exhibited their talents joyfully.
This was followed by a Personal Hygeine by Mrs Bindiya and WASH Project by WASH Chairman Rtn Rajeshwari Duraipandian.
The chairman of women empowerment from RC Chennai Bharathi Rtn. Santhi Rajkumar addressed the students with words of encouragement.
The chief guest, Dr. Geetha Ashok, addressed the students and motivated them with her words of inspiration.
