Rotary Club of Madras Celebrates World Polio Day
The World Polio Day function was organized by the RI District 3232 and hosted by the Rotary Club of Madras on 24th October, 2023 at His and Her Place, T.Nagar. The Chief Guest was Thiru. M Magesh Kumaar, Deputy Mayor, Greater Chennai Corporation in the presence of Guest of Honours - Thiru. J Karunanithi (Member of the Legislative Assembly - T.Nagar) and Thiru. K Elumalai (133rd Division Councillor- T Nagar, Chennai Corporation). The function was well attended by several Rotarians. The District Governor, Rtn. Ravi Raman, DGE Rtn. N. S. Saravanan, The DG Nominee, Rtn. Vinod Saraogi and District Polio Chairperson, PP Mohan Raman, who welcomed the gathering, also attended the function. PDG Krish gave an account of the birth of polio Immunization India and the role played by the Rotary Club of Madras in it.
