Free Heart Syrgery
1. On 1st July 2023, on the occasion of National Doctors Day, free Heart Surgery was sponsored to a child aged 3 years suffering from congenital heart disease – Patent Ductus arteriosis (PDA). The surgery was performed as a minimally invasive procedure. Our Club President, Rtn. Dr. A. Ramanath personally took the child from Panimalar Medical College Hospital to Kamakshi Memorial Hospital, Pallikaranai where surgery was performed by Rtn. Dr. Prem Sekar, President, RC Madras Temple City. The Child was shifted to Panimalar Medical College Hospital and is doing well. It was a joint project by our club and RC Madras Temple City. Our Club contributed Rs. 10,000/- towards the Project. About 7 Rotarians were involved in the Project.
