*TIME TO SAVE LIVES - SIGNATURE PROJECT* IN COLLABORATION WITH APOLLO HOSPITAL @apollo_chennai The maiden CPR /BLS training for the HOPE year and the 10th series of *TIME TO SAVE LIVES* started with great zeal on August 19, 2023. The signature project of ANNETTES AND ROTARY CLUB OF CHENNAI BHARATHI, in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals, occurred at Kaligi Ranganathan Matric Sr. Sec School, Ayanavaram. This extremely interactive session by the Apollo team of experts saw an attendance of 180 students. The training session by Mr. Balaji began with a complete detailed explanation and a live demo of first aid techniques. This included bleeding (limbs), fractures, nose bleeds, injuries, strokes, seizures, snake bites, dog bites, and choking. He highlighted the importance of scene safety during these situations. The interaction between students and the teachers took this session to a different level. This batch was exciting as many students volunteered to clear their doubts and participated in the live demos. The second session was the training on basic life support/ CPR training. This interactive session was an innovative opportunity where students formed teams and enacted scenarios to perform CPR on a patient when unresponsive. The session was highlighted with many daily life scenarios, and Mr. Jayasurya also explained the difference between heart attack and cardiac arrest. The students expressed their happiness for this session with massive applause. Today we have created 180 certified life savers.
