RO Water Plant at Chennai Boys higher Secondary School

Participating in a collaborative endeavor, the Rotary Club of Chennai Metrozone took part in a joint venture aimed at benefiting the students of the "Chennai Boys Higher Secondary School" in West Saidapet. This educational institution accommodates 1,500 students and operates on a meager fee of Rs. 50 per student per year, which must cover all expenditures. Presently, the school faces a challenge in meeting the drinking water needs of all its students. To address this, a project was initiated to install a 500L water purification plant, which will cater to the immediate and future requirements of the school. The cost of this RO plant amounts to approximately 1.6 lakh rupees. Collaborating with Kalpavriksha, a charitable trust, five Rotary clubs united their efforts to fund this initiative, thereby turning it into a reality.
