Mega Blood Donation Drive & Organ Donation Awareness
Rotary club of Chennai Renaissance and Rotary Club of Chennai Gemini organised a mega blood donation Drive and organ donation awareness on 14th august 2023 at the Sri Lalithambigai Medical College and Hospital, Chennai. It was conducted on the eve of 77th India Independence Day. Many Blood banks such as VHS blood bank, MVBB, ICH, Hindu Mission Hospital participated to collect blood from almost 200 donors. The drive started around 9 am and went on till afternoon. The chief guest was District Governor 3232 , AKS Ravi Raman and the guest of Honour was the former VC of the Dr. MGR University, Dr Geetha Lakshmi. Our Club president Rtn. Senthil Palanisamy, Secretary Rtn. Raghuram Avula and CSD Health, Director Rtn. Mohit Bhaatia took part in the drive. Contributions by our club members helped us fund, half of the project cost.
