CAUSE : DONATION OF POOJA BOOK STANDS TO THE STUDENTS OF GURUKUL

Rotary Club of Chennai Bharathi, along with the blessings and contributions of good Samaritans across Chennai and 11 rotary clubs of district 3232 (RC Chennai East RA Puram, RC Chennai Sagar, RC Chennai Garuda, RC Chennai Symphony, RC Chennai Infinity, RC Chennai Aristo, RC Chennai legends, RC Madras Traditional, RC Tharamani, RC MCC, RC Madras Casmos), executed and completed their first fundraising project for 2023 -24.
One-of-a-kind project and a great inclusion in the history of district 3232, as mentioned by a few veteran Rotarians; the funds raised from the discourse by Shri Dushyanth Sridhar, which was held on July 15, 2023, saw a fruitful ending.
The amount of Rs. 36,750/- raised from the discourse was contributed towards One hundred fifty pooja book stands distributed to the students of the Gurukulam in the presence of their Gurus. This Gurukul is one of the ancient patasalas in its 410th year. This place is surrounded by temples in the heart of Kumbakonam; the site is divinity personified and gives one peace and bliss.
The happiness on the faces of the children was boundless. It was a soul-stirring experience for our family to be present and get the blessing through Vedic hymns. Annettes Aditya and Akhil Srinivas, Ann. Srinivas was present. It was a blessing to have the presence of one of the Bhagavatas, Mr. Gopal, who had attended the discourse of Shri Dushyanth Sridar on July 15, 2023. He made his way to Gurukul to join the donation event from Chennai.
I express my humble gratitude to all the well-wishers, co- presidents who generously contributed towards this cause and made this a grand success. After the donations, we were blessed with Vedic hymns. Lets create more peace and harmony around us.
