FREE DESKTOP COMPUTER DISTRIBUTION TO SCHOOL
GIFT TECHNOLOGY - EMPOWER STUDENTS
Project - distribution of desktop computers
Beneficiaries - around 300 students will be benefitted.
Laptops, computers, and other electronic devices have become essential commodities for todays lifestyle. On this note, to empower students with technology, three clubs of RI District 3232 jointly took the initiative to distribute desktop computers to the students. Under the able guidance and leadership of district governor nominee Rtn. Aks. Vinod Saraogi, this project took off in a very salient manner. It was a delightful moment for the rotary club of Chennai Bharathi, the Rotary Club of Chennai Dynamis, and the Rotary Club of Chennai Tech City to execute this project jointly.
August 4, 2023, saw many students of SMT. MOHINI SARAOGI VIVEKANANDA VIDYALAYA, THIRUVETTRIYUR, waiting to receive the computers and empower themselves. The total strength of this school is 1200.
After the collaring of all the club presidents, the event began with prayer. Dr. Jayashree Kadambi, the president of RC Chennai Bharathi, gave a welcome address. Her motivational welcome speech triggered the energy levels of students and the audience.
A total of 20 desktop computers were installed in the lab that day. Five desktop computers were established by the ROTARY CLUB OF CHENNAI BHARATHI and five each from the other two clubs.
The chief guest Chairman for public image, district 3232 Rtn. Muthusamy inaugurated this event in the presence of Rtn. Aks Vinod Saraogi and other district officials, including a few AGs, were present during this event.
We also enjoyed planting a few saplings at the school premises. 2 other clubs of RID 3232 also gave free uniforms. The event concluded with felicitations to the students for their achievements in various avenues at the school level. It was a pleasure to receive the gift of a book on Swami Vivekananda.
