Nallammai Ramanathan Nagar
The Nallammai Ramanathan Kuyilkuppam Nagar in Thirukazhukundram donating 63 houses with amenities to 63 Irular community families inaugurated by Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin, Honorable Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Rtn. PDG Mr. Abirami Ramanathan and Mrs. Nallamai Ramanathan, and Mr. G. Viswanathan, Founder VIT University were among the dignitaries present.
This is a project of the Rotary Club of Madras Central. The projects cost is Rs 7 crores, out of which the projects Chairman Rtn Abirami Ramanathans contribution is Rs 4 crores, while the remaining amount was sponsored by other Rotarians including Rotary Club Madras North.
The result is a village with tiled pathways and streetlights. The project began in 2018 after obtaining non-transferable pattas for the Irular families.
