Mental Awareness Camp
Soon on the heels of the Health and Hygiene camp at the girls school, a Mental Awareness Camp was conducted on the 9th of February. We had seen the the benefit of conducting similar camps the previous year & we strongly felt that another session this year would be most helpful. It was decided that this year the focus would be on the students of 9th std , as they would be going into the exam facing class next year. The Don Bosco 89 Foundation has been active in this field & Priya Jagdeesh was in touch with its president, Ashwin who promptly arranged for Dr Queen, HOD of Madras School of Social Work to conduct this camp. Dr Queen covered topics like stress management & goal handling, giving specific focus
on positive reiteration & generation of positivity. The enthusiasm of the students was evident in a most active Q&A Session.
