Our club, Rotary Club of Madras North in
association with Rotary Club of Coimbatore
Manchester executed relief work project on
December 16, 2023 near Vanjivakkam village. We
handed over provisions kit to 250 families (196+54)
at two settlements.
Many women especially the age old, thanked us profusely for this gesture. People communicated their gratitude to RCMN and RCCM to have extended the much needed and timely help. Few even said that they wouldnt forget for a long time, the role of Rotary Club of Madras North for our continued support.
Though the water has receded and normalcy has returned, their livelihood has been affected. The provision kit has to some extent helped them with the supplies for few days. With the help of local body representatives, we called out the name of each individual (head of the family) and then distributed the pack.
