PEDAL AWAY GIFT A CYCLE - LAUNCH
On the day of installation on July 3rd 2023, it was announced that the Crowd funding initiative through NAMMA KALACHARAM project would be used for 4 Prime Projects of the year.
One of which is the Repeat Project - Pedal Away - Gift a Cycle - which aims at sponsoring free cycles to daily commuters.
The project was launched on the installation day and the first series of donation happened on the same day.
Three women beneficiaries from Sevalaya Organisation received the cycles from WCCG Representatives in the presence of Rtn. Rajasekar (Director - Community Service RI District 3232) and the president and secretary of RC Chennai Bharathi.
The beneficiaries later revealed that that gift is extremely useful and has made their commute easier.
